Welcome to Suffolk Probation Area’s website. I hope that you will find it both informative and interesting. I am very proud of the work that my staff do and I hope that you will agree having browsed the website that Probation staff do a difficult but very interesting and rewarding job.

Working with offenders is an extremely important job and benefits society hugely. Probation staff work in a variety of different settings but always with offenders and always with two main aims; to protect the public and to reduce re-offending by offenders.

The work of the Probation Service is not widely known but I am sure that by entering this website you will learn a lot about the work that we do. We aim to provide a high quality service to the people of Suffolk by working with others to make our communities safer and better places for everyone to live in.
