Suffolk Probation Area is part of the National Offender Management Service (NOMS), which provides end-to-end management of offenders from the start of sentence to the end. It co-ordinates delivery of prison and probation services through nine regional areas and Wales.
Regional Offender Managers (ROMs) are responsible for commissioning of offender management services from a range of providers from the public, voluntary and private sectors. Trevor Williams is the East of England Regional Offender Manager.
NOMs is part of the Ministry of Justice which is responsible for courts, prisons, probation and constitutional affairs. The Rt Hon David Hanson MP is the Minister of State responsible for probation.
