Community Payback suggestions

Community Payback logoWould you like to nominate a Community Payback project for offenders to do?

Community Payback projects can include litter removal, clearing dense undergrowth, environmental projects, repairing and redecorating community centres or removing graffiti.

The work should be challenging, demanding, worthwhile, and constructive. It must enable offenders to give something back to the community. It must not take paid work away from others.

Suffolk Probation Area makes no charge for Community Payback. We have a stock of tools, but materials such as paint have to be provided. Offenders work in groups or as individuals. Groups are accompanied by a fully-trained supervisor.

Anyone can nominate a project, A selection of paintbrushesso if you are an individual, member of a club, community group, faith group or voluntary organisation, and have a project that fits the criteria, please complete the form below or telephone your local office, Ipswich 01473 408130, Bury St Edmunds 01284 716600 or Lowestoft 01502 501800.

The Community Payback team will assess the project for suitability and health and safety implications and get back to you as soon as possible.
