Some staff from Suffolk Probation Area belong to either the
National Association of Probation Officers (NAPO) or the public sector workers union,
UNISON. Representatives from these unions sit on the Joint Consultative and Negotiating Panel, which meets regularly throughout the year to discuss significant policy and practice changes within the organisation.
